As part of the Inter-Parliamentary Conference on Interfaith Dialogue in Marrakech, Morocco, the Manara Center for Coexistence and Dialogue hosted a session titled “Building Bridges of Understanding: Fostering Interfaith Coexistence and Inclusive Communities.” The session, organized in collaboration with the Abrahamic Family House, aimed to explore strategies for promoting coexistence and acceptance among diverse communities.
The discussion brought together religious leaders from a variety of faiths, including Islam, Christianity, Judaism, Buddhism, Hinduism, and Sikhism, who shared insights on how interfaith dialogue and collaborative efforts can foster tolerance, peaceful coexistence, and inclusive societies. The session highlighted the pivotal role religious leaders can play as ambassadors of peace, working together to overcome obstacles to religious intolerance. It also underscored the importance of collective interfaith initiatives that can create bridges of understanding and promote shared human values.
The conversation showcased successful examples of religious leaders engaging in peacebuilding, establishing interfaith dialogue, and promoting acceptance across different communities. Through these efforts, the session emphasized how interfaith coexistence can be a powerful tool in addressing religious intolerance and building more harmonious societies.
