Manara Center for Coexistence and Dialogue Signs Memorandum of Understanding with the Center for Islamic Civilization in Uzbekistan.
ashkent, 4 April 2025 – The Manara Center for Coexistence and Dialogue proudly announces the signing of a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) with the Center for Islamic Civilization under the Cabinet of Ministers of Uzbekistan, marking a strategic milestone in advancing shared goals of peaceful coexistence, intercultural dialogue, and knowledge exchange.
The agreement reflects a strong alignment between both institutions’ missions to promote mutual understanding, preserve cultural and religious heritage, and build bridges between diverse communities. Through this partnership, the two centers will collaborate in four key areas: conducting joint scientific research to build a shared knowledge base; organizing conferences and workshops that promote dialogue and cooperation; exchanging expertise in areas of mutual interest; and planning the opening of a regional office for the Manara Center for Coexistence and Dialogue in Tashkent, which would be its first office outside the United Arab Emirates.
The planned office will serve as a future platform to expand Manara’s educational and research efforts and strengthen ties between the UAE and Uzbekistan through shared values of coexistence, openness, and cultural pride.
H.E. Dr. Firdavs Abdukhalikov, Head of the Center for Islamic Civilization, and H.E. Dr. Ali AlNuaimi, Chairman of the Manara Center, emphasized the significance of this partnership as an extension of the longstanding friendship between the United Arab Emirates and the Republic of Uzbekistan. They highlighted the vital role of dialogue and pluralism in advancing shared human values, affirming that such collaborations are essential for promoting peace, mutual respect, and the well-being of humanity as a whole.
The Center for Islamic Civilization was established by presidential decree in 2017, with actual construction commencing in 2018. Located in Tashkent under the Cabinet of Ministers, the Center includes a Museum of Islamic Civilization, a library, and a research institute. It aims to highlight Uzbekistan’s rich Islamic heritage and reinforce the national identity of the Uzbek people.
The signing reaffirms both sides’ commitment to advancing peacebuilding and creating a future shaped by dialogue and mutual respect.
مركز منارة للتعايش والحوار يوقّع مذكرة تفاهم مع مركز الحضارة الإسلامية في أوزبكستان
طشقند، 4 أبريل 2025 – يعلن مركز منارة للتعايش والحوار، بكل فخر، عن توقيع مذكرة تفاهم مع مركز الحضارة الإسلامية التابع لمجلس وزراء جمهورية أوزبكستان، في خطوة استراتيجية تمثل محطة مهمة في مسار التعاون المشترك نحو تحقيق أهداف متقاربة تتمحور حول تعزيز التعايش السلمي، والحوار الثقافي والحضاري، وتبادل المعرفة بين الشعوب.
تعكس هذه الاتفاقية انسجامًا عميقًا في الرؤى والأهداف بين المؤسستين، حيث يسعى الطرفان إلى ترسيخ قيم التفاهم المتبادل، والحفاظ على التراث الثقافي والديني، وبناء جسور التواصل بين المجتمعات المتنوعة. وتنص مذكرة التفاهم على التعاون في أربعة مجالات رئيسية: تنفيذ بحوث علمية مشتركة لبناء قاعدة معرفية موحدة، وتنظيم مؤتمرات وورش عمل لتعزيز الحوار والتقارب، وتبادل الخبرات والمعرفة في مجالات الاهتمام المشترك، إلى جانب التخطيط لافتتاح مكتب إقليمي لمركز منارة للتعايش والحوار في العاصمة طشقند، ليكون أول مكتب للمركز خارج دولة الإمارات العربية المتحدة.
ويُنتظر أن يُشكّل هذا المكتب، عند افتتاحه، منصة مستقبلية لتوسيع أنشطة منارة في مجالي التعليم والبحث العلمي، وتعزيز الروابط الثقافية والعلمية بين دولة الإمارات وأوزبكستان، انطلاقًا من القيم المشتركة في الانفتاح، والتعايش، والاعتزاز بالهوية الحضارية.
وقد أكّد كلٌّ من سعادة الدكتور فردوس عبد الخالق، رئيس مركز الحضارة الإسلامية، ومعالي الدكتور علي النعيمي، رئيس مركز منارة للتعايش والحوار، أهمية هذه الشراكة باعتبارها امتدادًا للعلاقات الودية التي تجمع دولة الإمارات وجمهورية أوزبكستان. كما شدّدا على الدور المحوري للحوار والتعددية في تعزيز القيم الإنسانية المشتركة، مؤكدين أن مثل هذه المبادرات تشكل ركيزة أساسية لنشر ثقافة السلام والاحترام المتبادل، وخدمة مستقبل البشرية.
تأسس مركز الحضارة الإسلامية بموجب قرار رئاسي صدر في عام 2017، وبدأ العمل الفعلي على بنائه في عام 2018. ويقع المركز في العاصمة طشقند تحت إشراف مجلس الوزراء، ويضم متحفًا للحضارة الإسلامية، ومكتبة، ومركزًا للأبحاث، ويهدف إلى إبراز التراث الإسلامي الأوزبكي وتعزيز الهوية الوطنية للشعب الأوزبكي.
ويُعدّ توقيع مذكرة التفاهم تجسيدًا حقيقيًا لالتزام الطرفين بمواصلة الجهود في مجال بناء السلام، والعمل من أجل مستقبل قائم على الحوار والتفاهم والتعاون بين الشعوب.
