The Third Edition of Ambassadors of Coexistence Sends a Message of Peace to the World
Abu Dhabi: Against the backdrop of a distinguished gathering of ambassadors, diplomats, academics, prominent religious leaders, university students, and representatives of leading national institutions, the Higher Colleges of Technology in Abu Dhabi hosted the closing showcase of the Third Edition of the Ambassadors of Coexistence initiative on Monday evening, 8 June 2026. The event was organized by the Manara Center for Coexistence and Dialogue in partnership with the Anti-Defamation League (ADL).
The event underscored, once again, that Abu Dhabi is not merely a political capital but a capital of hope; a city that honors the deep-rooted heritage of coexistence and, through its youth, is actively crafting a brighter future for all of humanity.
Opening Remarks
H.E. Dr. Ali AlNuaimi, Chairman of the Manara Center for Coexistence and Dialogue, delivered the opening remarks, underscoring the pivotal role that youth play in consolidating the values of coexistence and building bridges of understanding across civilizations, cultures, and faiths.
“Each one of these students that you see today is a champion, not only for their family and their country, but for all of us, for humanity. To be willing to work on this project, to have the courage to come forward during this difficult time where the extremist voice is very loud, where those who want to divide us are trying to hijack their mind and heart. But they chose a different path. They chose to bring us together.”
“Paths of Humanity”: A Window to a Shared Past
Complementing the showcase was a remarkable accompanying exhibition titled “Paths of Humanity: A Window to a Shared Past Where Civilizations Meet and Rise Together,” presented in collaboration with the Crossroads of Civilizations Museum. H.E. Ahmed AlMansoori, founder and Chair of the museum, personally guided guests through a rich journey among rare artefacts bearing witness to the depth of human civilizations, and precious religious manuscripts that stand as enduring testimony to the spirit of coexistence that has united peoples of different faiths and cultures throughout history. The exhibition transformed the ideal of coexistence into a lived, tangible experience, a powerful message resonating with attendees from across the globe.
Third Cohort 2026: Project Showcase
Six student teams from universities across the globe presented distinguished research and creative projects across three programme tracks:
- Lights of Coexistence
Empowering youth by enhancing their voices and skills through academic research, providing valuable opportunities to actively contribute to strengthening coexistence and shaping a brighter future. Their research serves as an important reference for furthering dialogue, understanding, and actionable solutions.
The American University of Nigeria opened the showcase with “Towards a Framework and Solution for Epistemic Resilience: Tacit Weaponization of Historical Narratives in Adamawa State, Nigeria,” introducing innovative tools to monitor how accurate narratives are silently weaponized in trusted digital communities and to restore epistemic balance.
United Arab Emirates University then examined the role of cultural institutions, such as the Louvre Abu Dhabi on Saadiyat Island, in “Cultural Institutions, Tolerance, and Public Perceptions of Coexistence in the UAE,” exploring how cultural spaces shape public attitudes toward diversity and social openness.
- Bridges of Coexistence
Students research peacebuilding and conflict resolution initiatives to learn best practices for creating effective coexistence projects, developing video content and guides to promote peace and unity within their communities and across the region.
From the Faculty of Law at Haifa University, Israel, came “A Manual for a Conflict-Resilient Community: Lessons from Haifa’s Response to October 7th,” offering a practical framework built around the aChord ‘traffic-lights’ model and a Respectful Dialogue Charter displayed across the faculty in Hebrew, English, and Arabic.
The University of Nairobi, Mombasa Campus, Kenya, then posed a central question in “Social Media as a Tool for Coexistence”: can platforms built for connection be harnessed to bridge divides rather than deepen them? The project found that digital coexistence ultimately rests on user responsibility.
- Allies of Coexistence
Students design peace-building, tolerance-enhancing, or conflict resolution campaigns, products, and tools, implementing them in collaboration with local partners to engage target audiences and promote lasting positive change within their communities.
Paramadina University, Indonesia, chose the language of film in “Sunday Diversity” (Documentary: DIÁFORA), using visual storytelling to explore Indonesia’s cultural, ethnic, and religious pluralism, challenge stereotypes, and foster empathy, with post-screening data showing positive responses reaching 95%.
Rounding off the presentations, O.P. Jindal Global University, India, brought “Singing Oneness: Bakhti-Sufi Poetry for a Fractured World”, a project reintroducing Bhakti–Sufi poetry as a shared tradition bridging Hinduism and Islam. The project hosted a poetry competition that drew 329 submissions across six languages, reaching 474,280 accounts with over 900,000 views.
Closing Remarks
Bakhita AlRemeithi, Executive Director of the Manara Center for Coexistence and Dialogue, drew the event to a close with a reminder that the Ambassadors of Coexistence initiative does not stop at academic research or university projects. It plants in the hearts of young people an unshakeable conviction that real, lasting change begins with individuals.
“Work on your community first. Coexistence begins in our closest circles, in our homes, in our families, in our communities. The values we build inside the family are transferred to the community, and the values we build inside the community are transferred to the nation. And if we want resilient nations, then we must build resilient families and resilient communities first.”
This gathering brought together the walls of a museum bearing witness to the depths of history and the minds of young people carrying the seeds of tomorrow; a powerful statement that the heritage of coexistence is not a relic to be preserved, but a living force that grows with every generation and reaches further with every act of understanding.

النسخة الثالثة من سفراء التعايش تُرسل رسالة السلام إلى العالم
أبوظبي: في مشهد جمع نخبة من السفراء والدبلوماسيين والأكاديميين وأبرز قادة الأديان إلى جانب طلبة من جامعات عالمية وممثلين عن مؤسسات مرموقة في الدولة، احتضنت كليات التقنية العليا في أبوظبي مساء الاثنين الموافق 8 يونيو 2026 الحفل الختامي للنسخة الثالثة من مبادرة سفراء التعايش، التي نظّمها مركز منارة للتعايش والحوار بالشراكة مع رابطة مكافحة التشهير (ADL).
جاء هذا الحدث الاستثنائي ليؤكد مرة أخرى أن أبوظبي ليست مجرد عاصمة سياسية، بل هي عاصمة للأمل؛ مدينة تحتضن إرث التعايش الضارب جذوره في أعماق التاريخ، وتصنع بأيدي شبابها مستقبلاً أكثر إشراقاً للبشرية جمعاء.
الكلمة الافتتاحية
ألقى معالي الدكتور علي راشد النعيمي، رئيس مركز منارة للتعايش والحوار، كلمته الافتتاحية، مؤكداً على الدور المحوري الذي يضطلع به الشباب في ترسيخ قيم التعايش وبناء جسور التفاهم بين الحضارات والثقافات والأديان.
«كل واحد من هؤلاء الطلبة الذين ترونهم اليوم بطل، لا لأسرته وبلده فحسب، بل للإنسانية جمعاء. أن تختار العمل على مشروع كهذا في زمن يعلو فيه صوت التطرف، وحيث يريد دعاة التفرقة اختطاف عقلك وقلبك، هذا يعني أنك اخترت مساراً آخر. اختاروا جميعاً الجمع حين اختار غيرهم التفريق.»
معرض «دروب الإنسانية»: نافذة على الماضي المشترك
رافق الفعالية معرض استثنائي بعنوان «دروب الإنسانية: نافذة على الماضي المشترك حيث تلتقي الحضارات وتزدهر معاً»، أُقيم بالتعاون مع متحف معبر الحضارات. واصطحب مؤسس المتحف سعادة أحمد المنصوري الضيوف في جولة ثرية وسط تحف أثرية نادرة شاهدة على عمق الحضارات الإنسانية، ومخطوطات دينية نادرة كانت شاهداً على روح التعايش التي جمعت بين أبناء الأديان والثقافات المختلفة عبر التاريخ. وشكّل المعرض فضاءً استثنائياً جعل التعايش حقيقةً محسوسة لا مجرد شعار، في رسالة بالغة الأثر إلى الحضور من مختلف أرجاء العالم.
مشاريع الدفعة الثالثة 2026
قدّمت ستة فرق طلابية من جامعات حول العالم مشاريع بحثية وإبداعية متميزة ضمن ثلاثة محاور رئيسية:
أولاً: أنوار التعايش
يُمكّن هذا المحور الشباب من تعزيز أصواتهم ومهاراتهم من خلال البحث الأكاديمي، ويمنحهم فرصاً حقيقية للمساهمة في تعزيز التعايش وصنع مستقبل أكثر إشراقاً. وتُشكّل أبحاثهم مرجعاً قيّماً لتعميق الحوار وتطوير حلول عملية.
استهلّت الجامعة الأمريكية في نيجيريا جلسات العرض بمشروعها «التوظيف الضمني للروايات التاريخية كسلاح في ولاية أداماوا النيجيرية: نحو إطار وحل لتعزيز الصمود المعرفي»، الذي يفحص كيفية توظيف الروايات التاريخية بصورة غير مباشرة داخل المجتمعات الرقمية الموثوقة، مقدِّماً أدوات مبتكرة لرصد أنماط انتشار هذه الروايات وتعزيز التوازن المعرفي وقيم التعايش.
ثانياً: جسور التعايش
يبحث الطلبة في هذا المحور في مبادرات بناء السلام وحل النزاعات، ويطوّرون محتوى ومواد توعوية تعزز الوحدة داخل مجتمعاتهم وعبر المنطقة.
وطرحت كلية القانون في جامعة حيفا بإسرائيل من خلال مشروعها «دليل إرشادي لبناء مجتمع قادر على الصمود في مواجهة النزاعات: دروس مستفادة من استجابة حيفا لأحداث السابع من أكتوبر» إطاراً عملياً لبناء مجتمعات أكاديمية أكثر صموداً، عبر نموذج «إشارات المرور» للحوار البنّاء وميثاق الحوار المعروض باللغات الثلاث.
وانطلق فريق جامعة نيروبي، فرع مومباسا في كينيا من سؤال محوري في مشروعه «وسائل التواصل الاجتماعي كأداة للتعايش»: كيف يمكن توظيف هذه الوسائل لتعزيز التعاطف والترابط الاجتماعي الإيجابي بين الشباب بدلاً من الانقسام؟ خالصاً إلى أن التعايش الرقمي رهن بمسؤولية المستخدم.
ثالثاً: حلفاء التعايش
يصمم الطلبة في هذا المحور حملات ومنتجات وأدوات تهدف إلى بناء السلام وتعزيز التسامح، وينفّذونها بالتعاون مع شركاء محليين لتحقيق أثر حقيقي وملموس في مجتمعاتهم.
واختارت جامعة بارامادينا في إندونيسيا لغةَ الصورة وسيلةً للتعبير في مشروعها «أحد التنوع» (الفيلم الوثائقي DIÁFORA)، مستكشفةً التنوع الثقافي والعرقي والديني الإندونيسي بأسلوب بصري يعزز التعاطف ويتحدى الصور النمطية السلبية، وقد ارتفعت الاستجابات الإيجابية عقب عرضه إلى 95%.
وختتمت جامعة أو. بي. جيندال العالمية في الهند جلسات العرض بمشروع «شعر البهاكتي والصوفية في عالم ممزق: إنشاد الوحدة»، الذي يُعيد إحياء الإرث الثقافي المشترك الجامع بين التقاليد الهندوسية والإسلامية. ونَظَّم المشروع مسابقةً شعريةً استقطبت 329 مشاركةً عبر ست لغات، ووصل محتواه إلى 474,280 حساباً محققاً أكثر من 900,000 مشاهدة.
الكلمة الختامية
ختمت السيدة بخيته الرميثي، المدير التنفيذي لمركز منارة للتعايش والحوار، الفعالية بكلمة أسدلت بها الستار على نسخة استثنائية. وأكدت أن مبادرة سفراء التعايش لا تقف عند حدود البحث الأكاديمي ولا تكتفي بالمشاريع الجامعية، بل تزرع في قلوب الشباب إيماناً راسخاً بأن التغيير الحقيقي يبدأ من الأفراد.
«ابدأ بمجتمعك. التعايش يبدأ من أقرب الناس إلينا، من البيت والأسرة والمجتمع. ما نبنيه في الأسرة ينتقل إلى المجتمع، وما نبنيه في المجتمع ينتقل إلى الوطن. وإن أردنا أوطاناً متماسكة، فعلينا أن نبني أسراً متماسكة ومجتمعات متماسكة أولاً.»
جمعت هذه الفعالية بين جداريات متحف معبر الحضارات الشاهدة على أعماق التاريخ وبين عقول شباب يحمل بذور الغد في أفكاره وبحوثه، فكانت رسالةً واضحة: إرث التعايش ليس مجرد ماضٍ يُحفظ، بل بذرةٌ حيّةٌ تتجدّد في كل جيل وتزداد امتداداً بكل خطوة نحو عالم أكثر إنسانية.
