Munich, Germany, 13 February 2026. Marking its first participation at the Munich Security Conference, the Manara Center for Coexistence and Dialogue convened a high level side event titled “Together Against Extremism: Prevention Strategies in Bavaria and the UAE to Combat Islamist Radicalization.”
Organized in collaboration with the Bavarian State Ministry of the Interior, Sports and Integration, the session brought together senior government officials, policymakers, and leading experts to examine prevention driven approaches to countering extremism. Discussions focused on how early intervention, education systems, and community based frameworks can disrupt pathways to radicalization and build long term societal resilience. The exchange reflected a shared recognition that sustainable security begins long before extremism takes root.
In his remarks, H.E. Dr. Ali Rashid Al Nuaimi, Chairman of the Manara Center, underscored that the global challenge of extremism is fundamentally a “war of ideas.” He emphasized that “we cannot defeat extremism by reacting to its consequences alone, but by shaping the ideas that precede it,” highlighting that education and value based engagement remain the most decisive tools in safeguarding societies and strengthening coexistence.
Opening the session, H.E. Joachim Herrmann, Bavarian Minister of State for the Interior, Sports and Integration, stressed the urgency of addressing the accelerating risks of radicalization. He noted that effective prevention requires an integrated approach that combines security frameworks with social, educational, and community driven efforts to address root causes and protect societies from intolerance and violence.
Contributing to the discussion, Ms. Bakhita Al Remeithi, Executive Director of the Manara Center, emphasized that resilience is not built through top down policies alone, but through shared ownership. She highlighted that lasting impact is achieved when youth, faith leaders, and communities are empowered as active partners in shaping inclusive and cohesive societies.
This engagement marks an important step in positioning the Manara Center as a global platform for advancing prevention focused approaches to coexistence. By bridging policy, education, and community engagement, Manara continues to champion a model that addresses extremism at its roots while contributing to more stable and resilient societies worldwide.

ميونيخ، ألمانيا، 13 فبراير 2026. في أول مشاركة له في مؤتمر ميونيخ للأمن، نظم مركز منارة للتعايش والحوار فعالية جانبية رفيعة المستوى بعنوان “معاً ضد التطرف: استراتيجيات الوقاية في بافاريا والإمارات لمكافحة التطرف الإسلاموي”.
وجاء تنظيم الفعالية بالتعاون مع وزارة الداخلية والرياضة والاندماج في ولاية بافاريا، حيث جمعت نخبة من كبار المسؤولين وصنّاع القرار والخبراء لبحث مقاربات قائمة على الوقاية لمواجهة التطرف. وتركزت النقاشات على دور التدخل المبكر، وأنظمة التعليم، والأطر المجتمعية في الحد من مسارات التطرف وتعزيز الصمود المجتمعي على المدى الطويل، انطلاقاً من قناعة مشتركة بأن الأمن المستدام يبدأ قبل تشكل التطرف وليس بعده.
وفي كلمته خلال الجلسة، أكد معالي الدكتور علي راشد النعيمي، رئيس مركز منارة، أن التحدي العالمي للتطرف هو في جوهره “حرب أفكار”، مشدداً على أنه “لا يمكن مواجهة التطرف من خلال التعامل مع نتائجه فقط، بل من خلال التأثير في الأفكار التي تسبقه”، مؤكداً أن التعليم وتعزيز القيم يمثلان الركيزة الأساسية لحماية المجتمعات وترسيخ ثقافة التعايش.
وفي كلمته الافتتاحية، شدد معالي يواخيم هيرمان، وزير الدولة البافاري للداخلية والرياضة والاندماج، على ضرورة التعامل بجدية مع تسارع مخاطر التطرف، موضحاً أن التصدي الفعّال لهذه الظاهرة يتطلب مقاربة متكاملة تجمع بين الأبعاد الأمنية والاجتماعية والتعليمية والمجتمعية لمعالجة الأسباب الجذرية وحماية المجتمعات من التعصب والعنف.
واستكمالاً للنقاش، أوضحت السيدة بخيته الرميثي، المدير التنفيذي لمركز منارة، أن بناء الصمود لا يتحقق من خلال السياسات الفوقية فقط، بل عبر إشراك مختلف فئات المجتمع كشركاء في المسؤولية. وأكدت أن الأثر المستدام يتحقق عندما يُمكّن الشباب وقادة الأديان والمجتمعات من لعب دور فاعل في صياغة مجتمعات أكثر تماسكاً وشمولاً.
وتشكل هذه المشاركة محطة مهمة في ترسيخ مكانة مركز منارة كمنصة عالمية لتعزيز المقاربات الوقائية في مجال التعايش. ومن خلال الربط بين السياسات العامة والتعليم والانخراط المجتمعي، يواصل المركز الدفع بنموذج يعالج التطرف من جذوره، ويسهم في بناء مجتمعات أكثر استقراراً وقدرة على مواجهة التحديات على المستوى العالمي.
